River & Stream Projects - Fish Habitat Improvements

Beaver Creek

Restoration involved the return of a straightened, degraded channel into a meandering meadow stream. Other fish habitat improvements were constructed throughout the 4 mile stretch. The fishery is thriving.

Shearer Creek Fish Barrier

A waterfall/dam structure was constructed near the mouth of Shearer Creek as part of Colorado Division of Wildlife efforts to restore native Colorado River cutthroat to the Florida River basin.
